North America's Largest Pow Wow Fills The Pit

The 25th Gathering of Nations Pow Wow, North America's largest powwow, featuring aisles of shopping throughout the Indian Traders Market with artists and traders, plus native foods, traditional dancing and music, is April 24-26, 2008, at the University of New Mexico Arena (The Pit) in Albuquerque.

Over 3,000 indigenous / Native American / Indian dancers and singers representing more than 500 tribes from Canada and the United States come to Albuquerque annually to participate socially and competitively. The trading of intercultural traditions and crafts is an experience for all who attend.

The Indian Traders Market offers a very special shopping experience and exhibition of Native American artifacts. More than 800 artists, crafters, and traders will place their wares on display and some available for purchase as well. Tickets are available at the door, and through local ticket outlets.
